I have personally been working in the installation and selling of decorative wood moldings for over 17 years, we have been working with some of the largest residential design firms in San Diego, Orange county, Los Angeles and Riverside Counties . In the past couple of years the trends have become more simplistic, contemporary and minimalist. In this blog post I’ll go over the most popular baseboards, casings, shiplap and crown moldings for 2018 designing trends.
In this first photo there are several contemporary trim options which the designers have mixed with traditional and rustic elements. The newel post on the stair handrail is very traditional, the beams as well as the dining room table have a rustic texture and feel, all of the trim is very contemporary.
